So, about me. I am a gamer with Second Life. I have been a resident in SL for many years. I have done just about everything there is to do in SL. Over the course of my time in SL I discovered I had a passion for 3 things. Dance, Photography and Fashion. Although I have always loved fashion both in SL and in the real world but SL made it easy to feed your addiction. For a while, I had a store and made clothes to sell but the competition got to be pretty tough and if you are not a mesh designer your pretty much left out of the loop.
I recently let go of my inworld store and focused my attention more on Burlesque Dance and Photography. Performing as a professional dancer in SL is much more complicated than you would think. It involves setting up poses, knowing the ins and outs of SL building, working with SL dance programs that move you around the stage not to mention building your sets, lighting and effects as well as working with costume design. It can be extremely time consuming and costly but when the lights come on and you get out on that dance floor it makes it all worth it. Sounds crazy huh? Well yeah, it is, and so am I.
Lastly, there's photography. Second Life photography is one of the most gratifying and madding things to do in SL. There's been many times I think I got a really good picture and then I get it on Flickr and it looks completely different, and I'm left saying to myself "what the hell were you thinking, that's terrible!" Over the years I have really improved on my style, but there are so many talented photographers in the SL community that post to Flickr, you would be amazed. Which brings me to the reason why I created this blog.
Flickr has decided to change their policy on restricted content. Going forward in order to post moderate or adult content you need to join Flickr as a pro member and pay the $80 fee a year. There is a HUGE following from SL on Flickr and it's going to be interesting to see who will win out in the end. Because I am a Burlesque dancer many of our sets are at least topless and some are nude, so this change has had a great effect on me, and with almost 5,000 followers on Flickr I am not about to up and move on to another site. I suppose I could pay the fee, but you know, I'm one of those people who don't like to be forced into something, and more so when it comes to money. SO here's my warning, there will be adult content on my blog and if nudity offends you I would suggest you moving on.
Either way, thanks for reading this and if you stick around, I look forward to telling my sassy SL story. Oh, and Ps, I hope you like pink. LOL
Peace Out, Kri
